I can't believe I'm typing this, but yes, there are 52 days left until ....
Christmas!!!!
And why would I know this?
Well, because I saw my first Christmas commercial on TV today.
A what?
Already?
That was my reaction too.
I don't watch nearly enough TV to know when the commercials change from one season to the next, but wasn't Halloween just two days ago?
Those marketing execs are sure on top of things this year!
Speaking of Halloween .... you're probably wondering where are their costumes?
It was the same day we got home from the hospital and there was lots to do. Not only did we need to introduce and discourage Fin from pulling on Bub's tube, but we also had a home healthcare company come to our house that evening and teach us how to use the IV pump. We won't just be giving Bub extra formula in his tube during the day, but he'll also be hooked up to a pump that administers formula to him all night long.
So after all that, it just didn't work out to put on their costumes. But not to worry, I've already made promises to both of them for next year. They can stay out twice as long, but they still have to share their loot with us and each other.

A Chihuahua wearing a Santa hat?
It sure is!
We have a blonde short-haired Chihuahua named Mia, so I couldn't resist when I saw these pj's on sale after the holidays last year. I wasn't expecting the size 18-24 months to fit her for at least another month or so. Good thing I'm always thinking ahead, I also bought them in a 2T. So if you see her in the same pj top in another month or so, you'll know why.
