Bub and Fin's current pediatrician came highly recommended. And while I appreciate that Dr. E is up-to-date on medical practices and trends and doesn't ever make us feel rushed, I'm just not sure he's the right fit for our family.
I interviewed several pediatrician's before the kids were born, including Dr. E. I liked him, liked the location, but I had reservations about the front desk staff (although not a deal breaker), and his unwillingness to consider an alternative vaccine schedule (significantly more of a deal breaker). But when Bub got sick, Dr. E was on top of getting him tested and giving us any referrals we needed.
Since then, Bub has continued to have the same issues and we've gotten little help or reassurance from either Dr. E or his staff.
I was at music class last week and talked to another mom (also of twins) about her pediatrician. One of her twins also has health issues, and after hearing how great he's been for them, I knew right away I needed to meet him.
I met Dr. P at his office this morning, and by this afternoon I already had medical release forms filled out. I liked him that much, and that includes

I also appreciate that he offers alternative and holistic options.
Our first appointment is in less than two weeks and Dr. P is committed to doing everything he can to help us identify and treat Bub's feeding issues. One of the first things he wants to do is a full blood workup, including a complete food sensitivity screening.
Dr. P is proactive, and that's exactly what I'm looking for in a pediatrician. I'm really hoping this is a better fit for our family, and especially for Bub.
