Bub
had an appointment at DCH today. He's gained 7 ounces, which is good ... but I guess I was thinking (hoping) he would have gained more. Especially since he's been drinking his bottles and trying some new
foods. But he's also much more active than he was a month ago.
His current mode of transportation is running. Everywhere. All the time. That whole walking business is a thing of the past. As for sitting in the stroller or grocery cart, it's "Let me out NOW or I'll wiggle, kick, and scream until you do!" The only time he seems to slow down is in the car or taking a nap.
Speaking of, I think he's just about ready to cut his afternoon nap. We were only letting him sleep 30-40 minutes anyway because any longer and he was still wide awake sometimes past 9:00 pm, which is cutting it a little too close to my own bedtime. With just the one nap it does make the afternoons seem really long, but getting him down for the night is quick and easy. Never thought I would be able to say that! It's also nice to have some time in the evening for myself .... to blog .... or make X-mas gifts. And yes, I did just say "make".

Although the tube is here to stay for a while longer, Dr. T did cut his night feeding by two
hours. Which means we have to get up at 4:00 am to shut off the pump,
but also means (in theory) he'll be hungrier in the morning when he wakes up.
The not so fun part of the appointment was switching the tube to his other nostril. Thank goodness for a very friendly and experienced nurse. As usual Bub quickly shook it off and after some loves from Mom, gave us one of his signature smiles that says "Don't worry, I'm ok." I smothered him once more with kisses and we went home so he could play with his sis.
Current Weight: 22 lbs, 6 oz
