Sleeping in, bathtub boycott, teething update, and why I'm standing taller

An update from La Casa W, you ask?  Ok!

Fin has discovered how to sleep in.  HOORAY!  I wasn't going to say anything for fear of jinxing it, but I actually wrote this post last night and this morning she slept in til 7:45, so I think I'm ok.  Need I remind you she used to get up religiously between 6 and 6:15, with an occasional 5:45 thrown in just for kicks.

After boycotting the bathtub for several days in a row, she's rediscovered the joy of water.  Either that or she got tired of us calling her "Stinky Sissy".  I'd like to think the new aromatherapy bubbles I bought had something to do with it, but I doubt it.

She's outgrown her 2T pajamas!  The body still fits ok, but her toes were curling under because the footed part was too small.  WAY too small.  No wonder she kept pointing to her toes in the morning.  I thought she just needed her toenails cut, which she still flat out refuses to let me do.  She has super ticklish feet, so I'm sure that's part of it.  The other part being that she's ridiculously stubborn.

Bub's eye teeth (all four of them) have finally come in.  Poor guy has been dealing with red bulging gums for quite a few months now.  One more set of molars and they'll each have a full set of baby teeth.  On a side note, a friend of mine's son just lost his first tooth, and the tooth fairy brought him $20.  Twenty big ones!  For one tooth!  You know me, I immediately started doing the math in my head.  20 teeth x $20 x 2 kids ... that's EIGHT HUNDRED BUCKS!!!!

He appears to be turning a corner in his eating (which I write with slight trepidation, same as I did with the sleeping in part).  He still has to work really hard with foods that are dry and/or textured.  The softer the food, the better he does.  Canned peaches and pears are still his go-to foods.  I think he got bored of mandarin oranges so we're taking a break from those for a little bit.  He did have a couple bites of a petite vanilla scone from S.tarbucks the other day.  Scones are about as dry and textured as it gets, so I was really excited about that.

As for me, although I may not be winning any style contests with my new ride, I stand a little bit taller every time I use my power sliding side (and rear) doors.  That's right, the things I can do with just the touch of a button!

And finally, some pictures.  That is, if you didn't already scroll down and take a peek.  Cause that's what I would do!
