April "firsts"

Just a heads up, some of these are definitely not what you had in mind.

First shower - Fin

First time going potty on the toilet - Bub

First time wearing her hair in a ponytail - Fin

First time eating a bowl of cereal - Bub

Ok, those are traditional enough.  But keep reading ...

First time going potty outside - Bub

First time going potty outside on a worm - Bub

First time riding a tricycle by herself - Fin

First time riding a scooter by himself - Bub

First full (legible!) sentence - Fin

First swear word - Bub

That last one, also not so traditional (or maybe I'm the only parent who admits to such things on her blog).  Either way and since I know you're wondering, the expletive used by my adorable son was (now use your imagination a little) ... "gosh darn it".  Oh yes he did.  And he said it with perfect enunciation and in the right context.

Considering the consequence though (what?  my lawnmower? ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!), I don't think he'll be saying it again anytime soon.
