Here's a quick recap of our first weekend away from the kids.
First day:
Checked in and ate breakfast.
Took a three hour nap.
Walked around the new A.ria and V.dara hotels.
Went to the chocolate fountain and botanical gardens at the B.ellagio.
Took a bath.
Went out to dinner.

Went out to dinner.
Stayed up until midnight playing Craps, our new favorite casino game.
Second day:
Slept in.
Watched a movie in bed. (The B.lind S.ide -- good flick.)
Got a facial. I'm not usually a spa-goer, but dh insisted. And I'm very glad he did! I mean, who wouldn't want to relax on a lounge chair next to this?
Went to a late dinner (at a Russian restaurant where I got a steak and dh got lobster fettuccine - hmmmm?) and then played our new favorite game for another 4+ hours.
Third day:
Woke up early. No idea why since we didn't go to bed until past 1 am.
Had the following conversation:
Me: I had fun, but I'm ready to be home.
Dh: We'll be home soon. I'm hungry, let's go eat.
Me: Maybe we can catch an earlier flight?
Dh: Remember, you already had me ask at PDX before we even left. And yesterday you had me check online.
Me: I remember. But maybe we should check again.
We actually did catch a semi earlier flight but had to transfer planes in Sacramento. It's a good thing we did though, because our original flight took off 2 hours late. I can only imagine the tantrum I would have been having.
Once we finally found our way out of the new long-term parking structure at PDX (a slightly embarrassing but funny story) and drove home, we were greeted by this.
Best part of the trip: Coming home!
Second best part: Being able to reconnect and spend some much needed time with my hubby!
