Bub and Fin had their 18 month checkup today. Dr. P's nurse spent almost a full hour with us. She was attentive, asked lots of questions, listened to our concerns (and praises), pressed on their tummies, looked in their ears, counted their teeth (Fin has 14, Bub has 12), and when it was time for her to leave they each gave her a high five and Fin blew her a kiss (her version of one anyway).
They each got two shots, instead of the regular four. We decided to try a slightly alternative vaccine schedule -- not because of any developmental concerns, we just agreed it wouldn't hurt to wait on some of the vaccines until Bub's weight gain and eating becomes more consistent.
Bub STATS
Weight: 23 lbs, 7 oz - 21% (a decrease of 2 oz, but he also grew over an inch)
Height: 33.5 in - 81%
Head: 47.6 cm - 43%
Fin STATS
Weight: 25 lbs, 9 oz - 72%
Height: 34 in - 96%
Head: 47 cm - 63%
You know those worksheets they give you at the well baby visits, the ones about what to expect from your child at their current age. I always read them, even though most of it seems like common sense to me. No offense.
I had to laugh when I started reading the 18 month worksheet and the first sentence was:

Toddlers can be picky and easily distracted.
I stopped reading right there. Another 7 words couldn't sum things up any better than that!
