Pops and I were on twin duty. I was changing Fin's poopy diaper (thus she had my undivided attention), Pops was grabbing something from the kitchen, and all of a sudden there was Bub ... bleeding from the mouth.
I went into panic-mom mode.
Since I didn't know what caused the mysterious mouth bleeding, of course I thought the worst.
I think the conversation went something like this ...
He's bleeding. What happened?
Why's he bleeding?
It's his mouth. What do I do?
Grab me some gauze.
Do I call the doctor?
Do I take him to the emergency room?
Bub's intense, inconsolable screaming wasn't helping my thought process.
Once
we both calmed down (Bub first, then me), we discovered it wasn't so
bad after all. Sure, he was going to have a fat lip for a day or two, but the rest of his face and head checked out just fine.
Ten minutes later he was smiling and playing, so I'm thinking he won't be scarred for life!
