Yesterday we had 30 of our closest friends and family over to celebrate Bub and Fin's FIRST BIRTHDAY!
Thankfully we had nice weather and people could mingle inside and out. I was a little nervous they would be overwhelmed with so many people, but they did great.
At one point Fin was playing in the family room and five minutes later she looked up to find a kitchen full of people and kids running around playing with her toys. She couldn't decide if she was upset or not, so she went and found Dad, cause everything is better in his arms.
Bub was in awe of the older boys and kept trying to keep up with them, but one can only crawl so fast. Soon enough, Bub, you'll be tearing after them.
I'm pretty sure their favorite part was eating as much cake and frosting as possible. That is before Mom took it away and replaced it with similarly colored yogurt. As if that would fool them!
It was a rough week with Fin sick and Bub deciding he no longer wants his bottle (more on that to come), so I wasn't nearly as organized with the party planning as I would have liked. But with lots of help from Oma, Tante Tina, and Nana Debbie, no one would have guessed it was anything but a well-planned, fun, and memorable party!
I got the mantel decorated just in time.
Their cake toppers (a present from Oma).
Playing with the horns. Two is always better than one!
First ever bite of cake. I think I like it ....
I thought this was edible?
This is definitely edible!
A radio flyer red wagon. Score!
What generous friends and family we have!
Thanks to everyone for making this such a special day.
